Fast3D vs SupaVoxel: the short verdict

Our take

SupaVoxel is the better pick if your models end up printed, or if you make fewer than about 130 textured models a year. A year of Hobbyist is $25, against $84 for a year of Fast3D Pro, its 400 credits stay valid all year, and failed generations refund their credits automatically, while Fast3D says paid fees are not refunded. Repair, multi-color 3MF, split with pins, stand bases and molds sit in the same studio; Fast3D lists none of them. Pick Fast3D for bulk game props, direct text to 3D or FBX: its per-model price is lower, but only once you pay $84 or more a year and use the credits every month.

SupaVoxel is better for
  • Lowest yearly commitment: $25 for 400 credits valid all year, versus $84 a year for Fast3D Pro or $120 paid month to month
  • Print finishing Fast3D doesn't list, included in every paid plan from $25 a year with no extra credits per step: one-click watertight repair, stand base, plane cut with pins, mold generator
  • Multi-color 3MF for Bambu AMS (4 or 16 colors) and USDZ export; Fast3D lists neither 3MF nor USDZ export
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee and automatic credit refunds on failed paid runs; Fast3D says paid fees are not refunded
  • Free browser tools with no account: STL repair, GLB viewer, converters
Fast3D is better for
  • Lower cost per model if you use the volume: about $0.15 for a textured Standard model on Pro monthly
  • Text to 3D in the same box as image to 3D, with style presets such as Cartoon, Stone and Porcelain
  • Guests can generate an untextured Fast model with no login
  • FBX and GLTF exports alongside GLB, OBJ and STL

Per model, Fast3D is cheaper at the same detail level, but only after you commit $84 a year (or $120 month to month) and use most of your monthly credits. Per year, SupaVoxel Hobbyist is cheaper if you make fewer than about 130 textured models, and its price includes the repair, base, cut, mold and AMS 3MF tools Fast3D doesn't list.

05

How fast is Fast3D, really?

Fast3D advertises 10-second generation and models "in seconds". Elsewhere it is more careful: generation takes 5 to 180 seconds depending on settings, simple untextured models finish in 5 to 30 seconds, and high-polygon models with PBR textures can take up to 3 minutes. Paid plans also jump the queue, so a free account at a busy hour waits behind Pro and Max users.

SupaVoxel's untextured models usually finish in under a minute and textured ones typically take 3 to 5 minutes. If a generation fails, its credits come back automatically, so a retry costs time but not credits.

On its own figures Fast3D can be quicker, especially for untextured drafts, so if you iterate on dozens of shapes a day, test it. For one figurine to print, a model that comes out watertight and ready to slice matters more than a minute either way.

  • Fast3D: 10 s advertised, 5 to 180 s quoted
  • Free Fast3D tasks queue after Pro and Max
  • SupaVoxel untextured: usually under a minute
  • SupaVoxel textured: typically 3 to 5 minutes
06

When Fast3D is the better choice

Fast3D suits bulk game and AR props that never get printed. Ten thousand credits a month is about 66 textured Standard models for $10, text to 3D works in the same box, FBX and GLTF go straight into game engines, and guests can try an untextured model with no account. For game work in SupaVoxel, see the game assets workflow, or turn a GLB into FBX with the free GLB to FBX converter.

  • Dozens of models every month
  • Typing a prompt instead of finding a photo
  • FBX or GLTF for a game engine
07

When SupaVoxel is the better Fast3D alternative

SupaVoxel is the stronger Fast3D alternative when the model ends up on a print bed. The studio covers the steps after generation: one-click repair to a watertight manifold solid, a stand-base generator, plane cut and split into parts with pins, a mold generator, mesh simplify, and multi-color 3MF for Bambu AMS with 4 or 16 filament colors matched to the Bambu PLA palette. 3MF and USDZ exports are included on paid plans, and neither appears in Fast3D's export list.

It also costs less for occasional makers. Hobbyist is $25 for the whole year, $59 less than a year of Fast3D Pro, and its 400 credits stay valid all year, so a quiet month costs nothing. Failed paid runs refund their credits automatically, and if the first purchase disappoints, the 30-day money-back guarantee applies; Fast3D says its fees are not refunded. Start from image to STL, or read the multi-color printing guide to see the AMS path end to end.

  • A few models a month, mostly printed
  • Bambu Lab printers with AMS
  • One payment a year, refundable for 30 days
  • Repair, base, split and molds in one studio

Test Fast3D and SupaVoxel on the same picture

Prices only matter if the model is good enough for your job. A fair side-by-side takes about half an hour and costs nothing.

  1. 01

    Pick two test images

One character and one hard-surface object, each a single subject on a plain background, at least 1024 px wide. Use the same files in both tools so the comparison is fair.
  2. 02

    Run them in Fast3D

Sign in to use the 300 free monthly credits: a Standard untextured model costs 50, so you can make six. Downloads are limited to 2 a day on the free plan, and textures need Pro.
  3. 03

    Run them in SupaVoxel

Upload on image to 3D. New accounts get 3 free credits, and an untextured model costs 1. Expect under a minute; download the GLB and open it in the free GLB viewer.
  4. 04

    Check the parts that fail

Rotate to the back, look at thin parts like fingers and straps, and check for holes. A model that looks fine from the front can still fail in the slicer; run it through STL repair before you judge it.

Where Fast3D falls short: free plan, license, refunds and print prep

Fast3D is cheap per credit, but these limits change what you get, as of November 2026:

  • Free plan: 300 credits a month, one task at a time, 2 downloads a day, Fast and Standard density only, no PBR textures and no multi-view. Guests can make untextured Fast models. That is more free volume than SupaVoxel's 3 starting credits, and the main reason to try Fast3D first.
  • Public license on free: free-plan assets are released under CC BY 4.0, which requires credit to the source, and they are not private. Paid assets are private and customer owned.
  • No refunds: subscription fees are not refunded for personal reasons such as not using the service or changing plans, only for a platform fault or where the law requires it. Plans renew until you cancel.
  • Monthly credits: credits arrive month by month, and Fast3D does not say unused ones roll over.
  • No print prep: no one-click watertight repair, no multi-color 3MF for Bambu AMS (no 3MF export at all), no stand base, no plane cut with pins and no mold generator are listed.
  • No API yet: it is on the roadmap, with an email waitlist.

On SupaVoxel, free downloads are GLB only and the commercial license starts with the $25 yearly Hobbyist plan, which comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee and automatic credit refunds on failed paid runs.

History. When Fast3D launched on July 1, 2025, it described itself as a free, unlimited, login-free generator. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Fast3D free?

Partly. As of November 2026, Fast3D's free plan gives 300 credits a month, one task at a time and 2 downloads a day, using Fast and Standard mesh density. Guests can make untextured Fast models without an account. PBR textures, multi-view input and higher densities need Pro. Free-plan assets are released under CC BY 4.0, so they are not private.

How much does Fast3D cost?

Fast3D pricing has four tiers as of November 2026: Free ($0, 300 credits a month), Pro ($10 a month or $84 a year, 10,000 credits a month), Max ($20 a month or $168 a year, 30,000 credits a month) and Max Unlimited, priced on request. Paying yearly takes 30% off. Fast3D says paid fees are not refunded.

How many credits does a Fast3D model use?

It depends on mesh density: Fast is 20 credits, Standard 50, Pro 100 and Ultra 200. Turning on PBR textures makes the total three times the mesh cost, so a textured Standard model is 150 credits and a textured Pro model is 300. The estimated cost is shown before you generate.

Is Fast3D faster than SupaVoxel?

Possibly, on its own figures. Fast3D advertises 10-second generation, 5 to 30 seconds for simple untextured models and up to 3 minutes with PBR textures, though free tasks queue behind Pro and Max. SupaVoxel's untextured models usually finish in under a minute and textured ones typically take 3 to 5 minutes. For printing, watertight output and AMS 3MF export matter more than a minute.

What file formats does Fast3D export?

Fast3D exports GLB/GLTF, FBX, OBJ/MTL and STL. That covers game engines, Blender and most slicers. It does not offer 3MF or USDZ. SupaVoxel exports GLB on the free tier and STL, OBJ, USDZ and multi-color 3MF on paid plans, but not FBX; convert a GLB with the free GLB to FBX converter if you need it.

Can I use Fast3D models commercially?

Yes, on a paid plan. Fast3D says models generated with a paid subscription are yours to use in commercial projects, and Pro and Max assets are private and customer owned. Free-plan assets are under CC BY 4.0, which requires attribution. SupaVoxel's commercial license starts with the $25 yearly Hobbyist plan.

Does Fast3D have an API?

Not yet. Fast3D says API access is not currently available but is on its roadmap, and businesses can email support to join an early-access waitlist. SupaVoxel has no API either, so if you need programmatic generation today, neither tool is the answer and you should look at providers that sell API access.

Is Fast3D better than SupaVoxel for 3D printing?

No. SupaVoxel repairs meshes to watertight solids, adds stand bases, splits models into parts with pins, makes molds and exports multi-color 3MF for Bambu AMS. Fast3D exports STL but lists none of those tools and no 3MF. SupaVoxel also costs $25 a year against $84 for Fast3D Pro, and failed generations refund their credits automatically.

Which is cheaper, Fast3D or SupaVoxel?

For light use, SupaVoxel: $25 a year covers 400 credits, about 130 textured models, while a year of Fast3D Pro costs $84 yearly or $120 monthly. Per model, Fast3D is cheaper, about $0.15 for a textured Standard model on Pro monthly against about $0.19 on Hobbyist, but only once you pay at least $84 a year and use the credits each month.
