Free 3D Tools That Run in Your Browser

Open, repair, shrink, split and make 3D files without installing anything. Every tool here runs on your own device, needs no account, and your file never leaves your computer.

STL Viewer
Open an STL in the browser, orbit it, check the wireframe and read its real size before you slice.
OBJ Viewer
Open a Wavefront .obj in the browser and check its shape, topology, part count and size.
FBX Viewer
Open an Autodesk .fbx in the browser and check meshes, materials, embedded textures and scale.
STL Repair
Find holes, non-manifold edges and flipped faces, then close the mesh into a watertight, printable solid.
STL Splitter
Cut an oversized model into two closed, printable parts, with connector pins so they line up when glued.
GLB Compressor
Shrink a GLB for the web: WebP textures, optional downscaling and meshopt-packed geometry, all in the browser.
Mesh Simplifier
Reduce any model to an exact triangle target, with Roblox, VRChat and Web presets, keeping UVs and textures.
STEP Viewer
Open .step and .stp CAD files in the browser: parts, colors and real dimensions, no upload and no CAD license.
glTF Viewer
Open .gltf and .glb files with their PBR materials, including Draco and meshopt-compressed models.
PLY Viewer
Open .ply scans in the browser, as a mesh or a point cloud, with their vertex colors and real size.
3MF Viewer
Open a .3mf print file without a slicer: objects, colors, triangle count and real size in millimeters.
USDZ Viewer
Open Apple's AR format on any computer or phone and check its textures, polygon count and real size.
DAE Viewer
Open COLLADA .dae files in the browser at their real scale, with materials, wireframe and part counts.
Lithophane Maker
Turn a photo into a printable lithophane: flat, curved, lamp, circle or heart, previewed with a backlight.
SVG to STL
Extrude a logo, icon or silhouette into a printable STL, or a multi-color 3MF with a part per color.
3D Text Generator
Type a name or word and download a printable 3D text STL: loose letters, joined, or on a plate.
Keychain Maker
Turn a name or logo into a two-color keychain with a ring hole, ready to print.
Cookie Cutter Generator
Make a printable cookie cutter from a built-in shape or your own silhouette, with a lip and imprint lines.
STL Mold Maker
Turn a model into a printable two-part block mold with alignment keys and a pour hole, then cast resin, plaster, wax or silicone.
Heightmap to STL
Turn a grayscale heightmap, depth map or logo into a printable relief with a solid base.
Add Base to STL
Put a round, hex or square base under a miniature or figure and download model and base as one STL or 3MF.
Voxelizer
Rebuild any 3D model from colored cubes at the resolution you pick, then export GLB, OBJ, STL or MagicaVoxel VOX.
Minecraft Schematic Maker
Convert any 3D model into a .litematic file with blocks matched to its colors, ready to load in the Litematica mod.
Minecraft 3D Model to Statue
Turn a 3D model, or a photo turned into one, into a block-by-block Minecraft statue you can build from a .litematic guide.

How to pick the right 3D tool

The tools above fall into four groups. Start from what you have and what you need.

Just want to look at a file?

Use a viewer: STL, OBJ, FBX, GLB, 3MF, STEP and more. Drag the file in, rotate it, check its size and triangle count.

File won't slice or load?

Run STL repair to close holes and fix flipped faces, or the mesh simplifier when a model is too heavy to open.

File too big to share?

The GLB compressor shrinks web and AR models, and the STL splitter cuts large prints into parts that fit your bed.

Want to make something to print?

Makers turn a photo, an SVG or text into a printable model: lithophanes, heightmaps, keychains, cookie cutters, 3D text and voxel art.

Why these 3D tools run locally

Every tool on this page processes your file inside the browser with WebGL and WebAssembly, so there is no upload queue, no file-size paywall and nothing stored on a server. That also makes them safe for client work and unreleased designs.

The trade-off is your device's memory: very large meshes, say several hundred megabytes, can be slow on a phone. When you need a brand-new model rather than a fix, the AI STL generator and image to 3D build one from a picture: textured models typically take 3 to 5 minutes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these 3D tools really free?

Yes. The viewers, converters, repair, compressor, simplifier, splitter and makers are free with no sign-up and no watermark. Only AI generation in the studio uses credits.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The tools run in your browser, so the file stays on your device. Closing the tab discards it.

Which tool should I use if my STL won't slice?

Start with STL repair. It closes holes and fixes non-manifold edges, the two most common reasons a slicer rejects a file.

Do the tools work on a phone?

Yes, in any modern mobile browser. Very large files are faster on a desktop because the work happens on your own device.
