Free 3D File Converters
Pick the pair you need. Each converter runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device, and each page explains what the conversion keeps and what it drops.
How to choose a target format

What a 3D conversion can and can't keep
Geometry almost always survives a conversion. The losses are everything around it: textures and colors disappear when you go to STL, units are guessed when the source format has none, and animation or rigs only travel between formats that support them, like FBX and GLB.
Scale is the most common surprise. STL and OBJ have no unit, so a model made in meters can arrive 1,000 times too small in a slicer. Each converter page lists the pitfalls of its pair and how to fix them. To check a result before you print, open it in the STL viewer.
